Profusely decorated on the top with blue daubs all around the rim. One of the best we have had, rarely seen with this much decoration.

Very minor surface chips at the rim. Old age crazing running horizontally all around the base.

There is some old surface chipping at the base from use. Mottled clay color, stonepings, and clay separation at the handle all occurred in the making of this jug.

Some imperfections in the making, including minor stonepings, an indented stack mark on the front and other stack marks. There is a very short line at the rim on the back. Professional restoration to a minor rim chip on the front. This piece has great character.

There is some clay separation at the bottom. Stack mark and glaze spiders on the base on the left side. Glaze spidering near the spout and a glaze drip on the very back. ALL of this occurred when made. NO damage.

The second: J. FISHER LYONS NY with, "FEE" in blue script. From Fee Brother's Rochester, NY - they are still in business today. Good condition. 10 1/2". Ca 1880.

There is extensive chipping in the fitted stoneware churn guide that is included with this piece. The jar has chipping at the interior and exterior rim on the front. Some staining from use. There are some old flakes spots on the right side. Tight line above the right ear and a glaze spider line on the center of the back.
